Arcelia Martin is a staff writer at The Dallas Morning News. She reports on equity and economic topics across North Texas, with a focus on labor and employment immigration. Prior to joining The Dallas Morning News, Arcelia covered Nashville's growth and development at The Tennessean, a part of the USA Today Network. ​She earned her master's of science at Columbia's Journalism School in 2021, with a focus on investigative and audio reporting. She also graduated Magna Cum Laude from Gonzaga University, where she served as the student newspaper's editor-in-chief. Raised in Southern California, Arcelia has lived and reported across the Inland Northwest, the East Coast and the American South.
